Time is important but not that critical when you are doing what you were made to do and not what you are paid to do. The workplace is filled with people who are conscious of time. They clock in at 9 a.m. and clock out at 5 p.m. They will not lift a pin at 5:01 p.m. No one can blame them for that because that’s the agreement they have with HR. After hearing that, it is easy for anyone to stand out. There are many ways to stand out, but I like this: get more things done in one day than you do in a week. Time is great. Some people say time is money, but that is a myth. Time is the continued progress of existence. Time and money are two separate things. Use your time to monitor your goals. Use the money to create experiences for yourself and others. Don’t let time dictate your salary, let results.
